Gerrie Muller, Founder
Gerrie holds a B Admin MBA through the University of Stellenbosch.
Gerrie’s career has seen him active in the fields of investment banking, strategy consulting, economic development and economic impact assessments. He is also a specialist in developing Social and Labour Plans for the mining industry.
His investment banking experience emanated from working for the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), ABSA Corporate and Investec Bank.
He gained his strategy and economic development experience from Deloitte Consulting, and through practice as an independent impact assessor.
Gerrie works extensively in the banking, professional services, NGO and metals and mining sectors.
Academic Qualifications
• B Admin (1979-1981) and MBA (1984-1987), both University of Stellenbosch
• Selective B. Com subjects through UNISA (1986-1987)
Strategy Development and Facilitation
• Gerrie conducted well over 150 facilitated strategies for organisations in South Africa, rest of Africa and Denmark.
• He was awarded a merit certificate for excellence in facilitated strategies by the Institute of Management Consultants.
Social and Labour Plans and Economic Impact Assessments
• Gerrie conducted the first SLP, as required by the Minerals Act of South Africa, for a mine in South Africa in 2002. This was followed up by over 50 SLP’s thereafter for various mining groups.
SharePoint App Development
Gerrie uses SharePoint extensively in tracking strategy action plans and social and labour plan commitments.
Influence and Persuasion Science
A recent competence that Gerrie added is the psychology of persuasion, and how this concept drives customer decision-making.
In addition to this, Gerrie trained himself in the use of SharePoint which as a sought-after online team collaboration work tool.
